Responsiveness

The app is somewhat responsive. There is instant feedback in certin actions such as when tapping on odds selection and navigating between tabs within an event's page, but I also encountered several cases where the app stopped being responsive, such as freezing when I tap the back button, or when some of the cancel buttons are too small to tap that I have no idea if I actually tapped them or not. Navigation itself averaged 1.6s between pages.

It took a rather slow 5.8s to load up the homepage from the time when I opened the app, but that does not include native biometric authentication (Face ID). You can toggle Face ID, but the app only prompts when your session is expired.

Customisation

BoyleSports does not have customisation options such as dark mode or pinning favorites. At least it has a search functionality.

Placing a bet

It is easy to place a bet. Tap on a selection, which adds to Betslip and brings up a small Betslip tab at the bottom. BoyleSports provides an in-app numeric pad that features quick increments, which is convenient, although there is no default stake.

When placing a bet builder in an event's page, you have to tap on Bet Builder, which will redirect you to the bet builder mode. There, you can tap your selections then add to Betslip.

Note that you cannot simply tap selections from the event page, as they will only be added to the Betslip as single bets. Additionally, notice that the odds displayed is fractional instead of decimal. I've already configured decimal odds, but it seems that there is a bug in the odds display with regards to bet builder odds. Also, there are no odds in the selections themselves. Lots of improvements to be made in this app.

Placing an accumulator bet

Accumulators are as easy as single bets. Just tap your selections, open your Betslip, and place your bet under Double if two selections, or Treble if three etc. It is kinda confusing to have both Double and Singles options placed together — Singles could have been removed entirely.
