Responsiveness

The app is generally responsive, and feedback is received upon user input and interaction. Navigation can be improved, as loading time between pages averaged 1.7s, including pages that have been navigated before such as the homepage. This is peculiar, as most modern betting apps these days practise caching of recently-loaded data to provide lightning-fast response times.

It took 4.0s to load up the homepage from the time when I opened the app, but that does not include native biometric authentication (Face ID). BetVictor app does include Face ID, but it does not use it to authenticate you if your session isn't expired yet. I understand that the developers may have chosen this decision in an attempt to provide frictionless entry to the app, but not requiring native biometric authentication arguably reduces the safety of a betting app.

Customisation

BetVictor does not have customisation options such as dark mode or pinning favorites.

Placing a bet

To place a bet, tap a selection, which adds your selection and opens your Betslip automatically, then place your bet. Nice little touch, since I presume that a lot of bettors are placing singles, and bringing up the Betslip automatically reduces an action.

There is no default stake, but the Betslip provides a quick increment feature, which allows bettors to input bet amount quickly.

To place a bet builder, first navigate to an event's page, tap the Bet Builder tab, tap your selections, add to Betslip, and place your bet.

Note that you cannot simply tap selections from the event page, as they will only be added to the Betslip as single bets. This is disappointing, as other betting apps intuitively allow bettors to tap on selections and let the Betslip figure out if it's a bet builder or not.

For accumulator bets, tap your selections, open your Betslip, enter bet amount in the appropriate acca input box (Double for 2, Treble for 3 etc.), then place bet.
